Jean Bonilla is a former U.S. diplomat and has worked for the U.S. Government for 30 years, first as a staffer in the House of Representatives and then with the State Department. As the Director of the Economic Bureau's Office of International Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement (IPE), she brings over 20 years of experience with innovation and intellectual property-related issues in overseas markets. Her most recent assignment abroad was as Counselor for Labor and Social Policy and Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs with the U.S. Embassy in London. Her diplomatic career also has taken her to assignments in Central America, Korea, and Hungary, where she has worked on trade, IP, development, and economic transition policies.
