Johna Ohtagaki serves as Staff Member in the Secretary’s Office of Policy Planning at the U.S. Department of State where she covers the East Asia and Pacific Portfolio. She previously worked as Special Assistant in the Office of the Special Representative for North Korea Policy, North Korea Desk Officer in the Bureau for East Asia and Pacific Affairs, and as an attorney in Passport Services, Legal Affairs. Prior to joining the Department, she worked on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and has served as an adjunct professor at George Mason School of Law. Johna has a B.A. in International Relations from George Washington University, Mt. Vernon College and a J.D. from George Mason School of Law.
