On September 22, 2011 on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, CO.NX hosted a webchat on tolerance with Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism Hannah Rosenthal and Special Representative to Muslim Communities Farah Pandith. The speakers highlighted the 2011 Hours Against Hate campaign, which encourages people to volunteer their time to combat hate in all its forms. A viewing group located at IRC Cairo shared a story about efforts in the community to bring together different religious groups, while a Ugandan journalist discussed the role of the media in promoting peace.
