Secretary Rice Greeted Upon Arrival in Israel

Upon her arrival in Israel, Secretary Rice was met by the Foreign Ministry Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Itzhak Eldan (right), and by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Richard Jones (center). In the picture, Ambassador Eldan is giving the Secretary an olive branch pin which is a sign of hope and reconciliation, and a symbol of commitment to peace on earth and the goodwill of man.
