U.S. Ambassador to Denmark Bernstein and Art in Embassies Program

U.S. Ambassador to Denmark Stuart A. Bernstein: "True art ignites common human interests and goals among people of all ages and cultures. At Rydhave, it is our hope that the presence of first-class paintings and sculpture will serve to further strengthen the longstanding friendship between our two great countries."

The U.S. Department of State Art in Embassies Program (AIEP) was created to promote national pride and a sense of the distinct cultural identity of America's art and its artists. This innovative program traverses cultural and language barriers by providing original works of art by U.S. citizens for the representational rooms of U.S. ambassadorial residences worldwide. Currently, works of Roy Lichtenstein are being exhibited in Copenhagen, Denmark.
