Emmanuel Padlan has been with the Department of State since October 1997 as the Senior Logistics Officer of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security’s, Dignitary Protection Division.
A Filipino-American, Mr. Padlan immigrated to the United States in September 1971 at the age of 13. After high school, he joined the US Air Force motivated by the war effort against the enemies of the United States in Vietnam. After 20 years of distinguished military service, 12 straight years spent overseas, he joined the Department.
Of his public service, Mr. Padlan says: “With a combined federal service of 34+ years, I look forward with pride and distinction in providing many more years of service to my adopted country -- this great country we call the United States of America. Service is my mission. Patriotism and love of God is my motivating force. God Bless America and all men and women of goodwill!"
