Krishna Das is currently based in U.S. Embassy Baghdad as a political officer.
He has an MA in higher education administration from the University of Iowa. Mr. Das worked at Iowa State University as the Statewide Coordinator for the ISU Nonprofit Management Academy. He is the co-founder of the University of Iowa’s ‘International Day’ human rights program that imparts human rights education to middle and high school students. He also serves as one of the EEO Counselors in Embassy Baghdad.
Of his job, he says: “I feel privileged that I am part of such a wonderful agency as the Department of State that has entrusted me with the honored task of helping further the Department’s mission of global diplomacy. Serving our great nation through the auspices of the State Department is truly an honor.”
Mr. Das considers Iowa City home and is a true Hawkeye at heart!
