Election Obvservers

October 25, 2004 -- Washington, DC: Larry Schwartz, Director, Office of Press and Public Diplomacy, Bureau of South Asian Affairs (SA/PPD), and Sharon Hudson-Dean, SA/PPD, discuss the up-coming U.S. presidential election with Jordanian and Pakistani participants in a State Department-funded election observation program organized by the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL). Both women ran for political office in their home countries. (The Pakistani is currently a member of the Punjab legislature but the Jordanian lost her election and plans to run again.)
