DAS Carol Thompson and Ambassador Cynthia Efird attend launch of Angolan Fulbright Association in Angola

DAS Carol Thompson (3rd from the right), joined by Ambassador Cynthia Efird (4th from the right), delivered the inaugural address at the launch of the new Angolan Fulbright Association (AFA) at a ceremony held inside the Embassy. The launch ceremony included an exchange of ideas with current and former American Fulbright fellows in the country and leading academics, journalists, and civil society members on how to strengthen the association. Thanks to the excellent coverage by the local media, the launching ceremony received wide publicity throughout the country.
