Tbilisi, Georgia
July 9, 2003

July 9, 2003, Tbilisi, Georgia: PAO Sharon Hudson-Dean was the guest of the Mayor of Chiatura in the mountains of Western Georgia. The PAO had an opportunity to visit one of the secondary schools in the city and meet with a number of teachers and students. TEA program finalist and Director of the ETAG branch in Chiatura, Mrs. Mzia Lezhava, welcomed the PAO to her school and arranged for a presentation by her students of a performance of traditional Georgian songs and dances. Ms. Lezhava showed the PAO their small library of American books gifted by the Embassy's Information Resource Center and expressed her willingness to open a new resource center in Chiatura with internet access.
