U.S. Ambassador Richard Miles Attends Closing Season Ceremonies For Dmanisi Archeological Dig


Tbilisi, Georgia

August 26, 2003, Tbilisi, Georgia: Ambassador and Mrs. Sharon Miles were invited by archeologists in Dmanisi to a traditional Georgian "Supra" marking the end of the digging season. "Dmanisi man" found at the site, is estimated to be 1.7-1.8 million years old. The archeological site will be closed until Spring.
