Selcuk University Hosts its First English Seminar

Turkey
January 6, 2005

For the first time in the 30-year history of Selcuk University, the ELT Department and English Language and Literature Department joined forces to host a conference, Teaching as a Challenge: Innovations in ELT. More than 350 Turkish teachers and trainees attended the conference, which provided a stimulating environment where professional collaboration, current research, and innovation in teaching and learning came into sharp focus. Speakers included University of Utah faculty, U.S. Embassy English Language Officers, English Language Fellows from Turkey and Azerbaijan, and several Selcuk University teachers.
