PDAS Volker (Sept. 12):  “… we face a number of determined, violent extremists who exploit Islam and the desperation of many people in the Islamic world – and even here in Europe – to justify their goals and their violent actions.  This is an affront to Islam as much as it is to non-Islamic civilization.  And we must reach out and work together with Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, and all others who stand for civilization, tolerance, and peace.”  full text
