The State Department
Washington, DC
October 29, 2007

Russian women entrepreneurs met with State Department officials on October 29 to share views on investment and economic ties between the two countries. The group included investment bankers, stock market analysts, a doctor, newspaper editors and journalists; participants are members of the Committee of 20, an association of successful Russian businesswomen, and the Center for Citizen Initiatives. Their week-long visit included stops in Washington DC, Baltimore, and New York City for a range of meetings with officials from the Commerce and Labor Departments and the U.S. Trade Representative, state and local government officials, and U.S. businesses.
