Memorial Day Observance

On May 30, 2005, the U.S. Embassy and the Iceland Defense Force sponsored a Memorial Day Observance in memory of the American soldiers, sailors and airmen who died in and around Iceland during the Second World War. The Ceremony included a fly-over by four F-15 aircraft from the U.S. Air Force 85th Group, based at Keflavik Naval Air Station. Photo courtesy Iceland Defense Force
