Middle East Entrepreneur Training in the United States Program (MEET U.S.)

San Diego, California
December 6, 2004

Two weeks of intensive entrepreneurial development further honed talents of 31 Middle Eastern business executives as they learned about new managerial tools, discussed business models and case studies, and conducted site visits, including a Sony computer manufacturing plant, during a session of the Middle East Entrepreneur Training in the United States program (MEET U.S.). MEET U.S. is sponsored by a Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) grant to the Beyster Institute as part of the economic reform agenda responding to voices from the region championing a larger role for the private sector in Arab economies. Fourteen women business leaders participated in the program. Exclaimed one of the group members, "the environment of excellence was enthralling."
