Secretary Rice Motivates Middle Eastern Student Leaders

Secretary Rice urged 64 recent high school graduate and undergraduate student leaders from across the Middle East and North Africa to use the skills and knowledge that they acquired during their summer institutes on the campuses of Benedictine University, the University of Delaware, and Montana State University from July 4 to August 21, 2005. The institutes increase participants' awareness of civic rights and responsibilities, provide them with the skills to become effective business, civil society and community leaders of tomorrow, and help to increase mutual understanding between the people of the Middle East and North Africa and the people of the United States.
