Regional Reconstruction Team (RRT) Holds Inauguration Ceremony

Regional Reconstruction Team in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region
February 1, 2007

An inauguration ceremony was held on February 1, 2007, at Camp Zaytun to mark the opening of the Regional Reconstruction Team (RRT) for the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani delivered remarks along with Ambassador Chang Ki-Ho from the Republic of Korea and Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad from the United States. The team leader is Ambassador Park Kyu-Ock of the Republic of Korea and his deputy is James Yellin of the United States. [press release; fact sheet]
