USAID Relief Supplies Arrive at Islamabad AirportUSAIDIslamabad, Pakistan October 10, 2005 A ‘C-17’ U.S. military aircraft containing emergency relief supplies of blankets, winterized tents, and other relief goods landed at Islamabad airport October 10 for victims of the South Asia earthquake. U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan, Ryan C. Crocker handed over the relief goods to Mr. Shahid Kamal, Additional Secretary, Foreign Affairs at the Islamabad airport Monday, October 10, 2005. A second C-17 and two C-130s are scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on October 11. The United States is providing $50 million for relief and reconstruction use for the earthquake victims of Pakistan.
