Ms. Ribeiro-Yemofio joined the State Department in 2007 as an intern and transitioned into the Cooperative Education Program upon completion of her internship. She worked as a Public Relations Specialist in the Bureau of Public Affairs while pursuing graduate studies at Howard University. Prior to joining the State Department in 2007, she worked in the Corporate Communications Department at Capital One in McLean, VA for four years.
She is currently working in the Bureau of Public Affairs as the personal assistant to the Acting Spokesman and Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs.
Ms. Ribeiro-Yemofio was born in Accra, Ghana and was raised in the Washington metropolitan area. She earned her BA in English from Elizabeth City State University and a Master’s in Mass Communication and Media Studies with a certificate in International Studies from Howard University.
