Christine DeSilva joined the Department in 1987 as a Clerk-Typist. Over the course of her career she has worked for Consular Affairs, Human Resources, African Affairs, Information Resources, Western Hemisphere Affairs, Administration and Human Resources bureaus.
Currently serving as the Department Incentive Awards Coordinator, Ms. DeSilva has served as a Management and Program Analyst, Deputy Consul General, Chief of the Non-Immigrant Visa and the American Citizen Services Units in Trinidad & Tobago, EEO Counselor, Employee Relations Specialist, Position Classifier and Staffing Specialist.
Ms. DeSilva is a native Washingtonian raised in Prince George’s County and a 2001 graduate of Lincoln University with a Master’s Degree in Human Services.
