Brooke Pearson has served as a program officer in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs since 2011, working primarily with the Fulbright program in South and Central Asia. A former Fulbright English teaching assistant in Macau, she is passionate about public diplomacy and international exchange program administration for its power to place relationships at the center of foreign policy.
Prior to joining ECA, she worked at a program agency with ECA’s International Visitor Leadership Program, and has coordinated international exchanges, both academic and professional since 2007. A native of Maryland, she received her master’s degree from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, and her bachelor’s degree from Azusa Pacific University in California. In her free time, she enjoys studying Mandarin Chinese, running, concert-going, and traveling.
