My desire to help people brought me to the Department of State as a human resources specialist, providing employee relations services for the Bureau of Administration, Executive Office, Human Resource Directorate (A/EX/HRD).
As a first generation college graduate, I traded in my small town roots of the Eastern Shore of Maryland for the fast-paced hustle of Washington, DC. Shortly after receiving a master's in business administration from the University of Baltimore, I started my federal career in human resources. Over the last 6 years, I have devoted my career towards helping management and employees foster better working relationships. The experience I have gained at the Department of State has provide me with a unique perspective. I have learned that when given a fair chance, we all have the ability to strive for success. That’s what makes this Department such a great place to work.
In my spare time, I can be found volunteering at a local food bank, biking throughout the District, or downtown snapping photos as an inspiring photographer.
