Ambassador Verveer traveled to Lithuania on April 10, 2010, as part of a two-week trip to Lithuania, Russia, and Egypt. The Ambassador will meet with senior government officials and non-government leaders to discuss progress towards achieving women’s empowerment in the political, social, and economic arenas, combating gender-based violence, and improving maternal health.
