Josue Barrera is a Human Resources Specialist in the Bureau of Human Resources’ Office of Recruitment, Examination, and Employment. His first professional experience in DC was as a Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) intern with the Office of Personnel Management in the Fall of 2006. Josue returned to DC the following summer as an intern at the Department’s Bureau of Public Affairs’ Rapid Response Unit, before transferring as a full time employee to PA’s Office of Media Affairs. In the latter, he served as a liaison for the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and USAID.
Mr. Barrera holds a BA in Mass Media from Houston Baptist University, and an MPP from the University of Texas at Brownsville.
