Marcela Curtis currently serves as financial management officer at the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam. She entered the Foreign Service in 2009 and previously served in Manama, Bahrain. Prior to the U.S. Department of State, she served at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Internal Revenue Service.
Marcela earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Virginia, and a master's in business administration and a master's in arts from George Washington University. Marcela has Peruvian roots and also speaks Spanish.
