In November, INL participated in a special meeting of the International Police Executive Symposium (IPES), hosted by the Kerala Police in Kochi City, Kerala, India. IPES is a professional organization made up of police researchers and practitioners. IPES brings these diverse groups together to facilitate cross-cultural, international and interdisciplinary exchanges for the enrichment of the policing profession. It encourages discussions and writing on challenging topics of contemporary importance through conferences and publications. This special meeting was requested by the Kerala Police to study the topic of community policing.
