Rodney LeGrand was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in May 1990 after completing the Air Force ROTC program at Indiana University. I entered on active duty in January 1991 and completed training as an Air Weapons Controller at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. Rodney was then assigned to the NORAD Region Operations Control Center at Elemendorf Air Force Base near Anchorage, Alaska for three years. He was then assigned as aircrew member to NATO E-3A AWACS based out of NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen, Germany for four years. The primary mission during that time was to support UN and later NATO directives during the Bosnia conflict.
Rodney is a consular officer and just completed a three-year tour as the American Citizens Services Chief in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico this summer and am currently assigned to FSI Consular Training Division as an instructor.
