Olivette Hooks is serving as the Deputy Director in the Office of International Conferences, Bureau of International Organization Affairs. As the deputy, Olivette provides managerial and administrative oversight for daily activities that govern the Department’s accreditation and credential process for U.S. delegates' participation in international multilateral conferences. She obligates and reprograms organizational financial resources to meet administrative and logistical conference requirements.
Olivette retired after 33 years on active duty in the United States Army as an officer in the Quartermaster Corps. She deployed in support of the global war on terrorism and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to her assignment to the Department of State, Olivette served in Korea as the Regional Director for Logistics.
