Aaron Burge served six years in the U.S. Air Force as an Airborne cryptologic linguist. His domestic assignments include the 97th Intelligence Squadron, with overseas assignments in Iraq and Qatar. Aaron recorded over 800 combat flight hours in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
Aaron holds an M.P.S. in Arabic from the University of Maryland, a B.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from the American Military University, and studied Arabic and French at the Defense Language Institute.
Aaron is an entry-level Foreign Service officer, joining the Department of State in September of 2011. He and his wife will serve their first tour in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
