Until September 2010, Denita Zelk was Master Sergeant Zelk of the United States Army. Denita retired after 20 years of service and was hired by the Presidential Travel Support Office in the Administration Bureau. Her career has taken her all over the world. She's been stationed in South Korea, Maryland, Hawaii, Georgia, and Washington, DC. Denita spent the last 9 of her 20 years with the White House Communications Agency, deploying worldwide in support of the President, Vice President, and their families. In all, she's visited over 60 countries and counting. Her current job entails OCONUS logistical planning in support of the President, Vice President, and their spouses, and in many ways is quite similar to my previous job in the military. Denita enjoys traveling and working with the embassy personnel to meet mission requirements.
Denita is currently on temporary duty and also pursuing graduate studies at Liberty University. "I am very proud to be an employee at the Department of State."
