Motivated by the war effort in Vietnam, Mr. Emmanuel “Manny” Padlan joined the United States Air Force. Intending to only serve for four years of service, Manny ended up serving a total of twenty years. Of those twenty years, he served twelve years straight overseas which took him to numerous places in The Philippines, Korea, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Yugoslavia, Vatican City State, and Liechtenstein. Along the course of his service, he earned multiple awards and recognitions to include three Air Force Commendation Medals, Air Force Achievement Medals, and multiple marksmanship and outstanding unit ribbons.
Just as Manny has served valiantly and honorably for his country in Air Force uniform, he continues his outstanding service to his country as the senior logistics officer for the Dignitary Protection Division of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security.
