Daniel Buchholz joined the Department in 2004. He has worked for the Office of Computer Security, Bureau of Diplomatic Security for his entire time at the Department and is currently the Government lead for both the Red Cell and Scanning Teams.
In 2005 Daniel joined the Virginia Army National Guard, went to basic training(2005), Officer Candidate School (2007), and Signal Officer Basic School (2008). He served as both a platoon leader and executive officer in C Company (Signal), 116 Brigade Special Troops Battalion from 2007-2011. In 2011 Daniel was deployed to Zabul Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as part of the 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) Headquarters Company. Daniel is currently a 1st Lieutenant serving as the automation officer for the 116 IBCT in Virginia.
