Jeff Dawkins joined the U.S. Department of State in April 2010. He serves as a country officer in the Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs. His portfolio includes international parental child abduction in both Hague and non-Hague countries.
Prior to joining the Department, Jeff served 26 years in the U.S. Army and retired at the rank of Sergeant Major. He has an MBA in international business from Touro University and bachelor's in human resources from St. Leo University. Among others, his assignments included serving in Special Operations and serving as senior retention advisor, equal opportunity advisor, instructor, and liaison in the Partnership for Peace Republic of Georgia. His military awards included the Legion of Merit, Army Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal.
