Michele Reamey entered the United States Air Force on active duty, December 12, 1978. She remained on active duty for 14 years and then entered the United States Air Force Reserves where she remained for six years until retirement. Her military assignments have taken her to exciting places like Florida, Utah, Oklahoma, Korea, Philippines, and the most fun assignment ever in Okinawa, Japan where she resided for 11 years until her return to the U.S. in 2006.
From 2006-2009, Michele worked for the Defense Information Systems Agency in Alexandria, Virginia, and then from 2009 – 2011 for the Army Test and Evaluation Command Post as secretary to the Technical Advisor, Command Group.
Michele joined the Department of State under the Bureau of African Affairs in the Office of Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs on May 23, 2011.
