Ronya D. Foy, MPA, MSW, is a native New Yorker residing in Washington, D.C. Ronya currently serves in the Office of Children’s Issues, Intercountry Adoption Division, as a researcher on The Hague Permanent Bureau and assistant for Eastern and Western Europe, Canada, and Kazakhstan. Ronya served previously in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor working with the Strategic Planning and External Affairs Division.
Ms. Foy is a doctoral student at Howard University's School of Social Work and specializes in international social work with women, youth, and families. Her current research is on women’s social entrepreneurship in East Africa and how it positively impacts local community development. She holds a master's degree in social work from Howard University, a master's in public administration from the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs, and a bachelor of science from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Ms. Foy is a member of the Phi Alpha National Honor Society, Golden Key International Honour Society, an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and The Links, Inc. women’s service organizations.
