Raheela Hameed has been working as a computer management assistant at U.S. Consulate General Lahore, Pakistan for the last 10 years. Before joining the staff, Raheela's initial introduction to the consulate was as a visiting trainer, using her degree in computer science to teach various computer applications to the consulate staff. During that experience she realized that the American-Pakistani office environment would suit her.
She is unique in Mission Pakistan -- she is the only Pakistani female working on the information systems team. Raheela has enjoyed her opportunities to pursue her interest in computers, customer support and training, and appreciates the support of her supervisors, colleagues, and customers. Raheela has enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of a community of professional men and women, and enjoys the personal and professional growth that it has afforded her.
While it has not always been easy to “have it all,” working as a part of Team Pakistan through its successes and challenges have made her a stronger woman, wife, mother, employee, and world citizen.
