On Friday, March 15th, Luis CdeBaca, Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, spoke to approximately 120 students at the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Policy Classroom program. Ambassador CdeBaca spoke on “The United States’ Efforts in the Global Fight Against Contemporary Forms of Slavery,” providing an overview of the past, present and future challenges and opportunities related to this area. The students in attendance were from a variety of schools, including Catholic University, Notre Dame and SUNY Brockport. Cheryl Benton, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, welcomed the students and introduced Ambassador CdeBaca.
