On Wednesday, February 27th, Rose Gottemoeller, Acting Undersecretary for Arms Control and International Security, spoke to approximately 125 students at the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Policy Classroom program. Undersecretary Gottemoeller spoke on the topic of U.S. nuclear policy, providing an overview of the past, present and future challenges and opportunities related to this area. The students in attendance were from a variety of schools, including American University, George Mason University and George Washington University. Cheryl Benton, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, welcomed the students and introduced Undersecretary Gottemoeller.
