Ms. Susan Bridenstine

COLUMBUS JUNCTION, MARCH 26 -- Susan Bridenstine, Foreign Service Officer in the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia, spoke to three Spanish classes at Columbus Community High School in Columbus Junction about her travels in Peru, Brazil, and Armenia. She had a PowerPoint presentation which gave the students the opportunity to better understand the people, their foods, and customs in those particular countries. She also spoke about opportunities found in the Foreign Service and the opportunity to spread good will to other countries. Her father is the superintendent at the high school at which she spoke.
Ms. Bridestine is a participant in the State Department’s Hometown Diplomat Program, in program which diplomats return to their hometowns during their home leave. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa (2000). After graduating, Susan was awarded a Fulbright grant focused on economics in Venezuela from 2000-2001. She joined the State Department’s Foreign Service as a Public Affairs Officer in 2001.
