Harvard National Model United Nations

February 15, 2007, Boston , Massachusetts:  Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations Affairs Gerald C. Anderson gave keynote remarks at the 53 rd annual Harvard National Model United Nations conference, which brought together about 2,500 college students from throughout the United States and around the world.

 

Rotary Foundation

Diplomat-in-Residence Renee Earle speaks to Rotary Foundation event in North Carolina.  Rotarians and exchange participants listen to Ms. Earle's remarks.

January 6, 2007, High Point, North Carolina:  U.S. Department of State Diplomat-in-Residence Renee Earle spoke about U.S. public diplomacy priorities at the 22nd annual orientation session for individuals participating in the Rotary Foundation's Ambassadorial Scholar and Group Study Exchange programs.  Program attendees came from Maryland, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

 

World Affairs Council of Philadelphia

December 11, 2006, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania:  Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State for Women's Empowerment Shirin Tahir-Kheli addressed the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia.  She also spoke at the launch of the Global Girls LEAD (Leadership, Education, Achievement and Dialogue) Program, a World Affairs Council of Philadelphia initiative implemented in cooperation with the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Pennsylvania to help high school girls recognize their leadership potential.
