In recognition of Black History Month, the Bureau of Public Affairs will host a foreign policy briefing for students and faculty of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) at the Department on February 23. The goal of the briefing is to provide students with information about U.S. foreign policy priorities as well as information about career opportunities at the U.S. Department of State. The half-day conference will include briefings by senior Department officials and will be attended by political science, international affairs and communications students and faculty from approximately 20 HBCUs as well as cultural student organizations from universities in the Washington, D.C. area.
