AMBASSADOR-AT-LARGE FOR GLOBAL WOMEN’S ISSUES MELANNE VERVEER

Ambassador Melanne Verveer travels to Lithuania, Russia, and Egypt through April 23. Ambassador Verveer meets with senior government officials and non-government leaders to discuss progress towards achieving women’s empowerment in the political, social, and economic arenas, combating gender-based violence, and improving maternal health. DEPARTMENT OF STATE COUNSELOR CHERYL MILLS

Counselor Mills travels to Haiti April 12 - 14. She will conduct meetings with civil society representatives, business leaders, Government of Haiti officials, members of Parliament, and USAID and State Department officials.

SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR MUSLIM COMMUNITIES FARAH PANDITH

Special Representative Pandith travels to Mali and Mauritania through April 17. She meets with civil society leaders in several cities, including Bamako, Atar, Nuoakachott, Chingietti and Tombouctou.
