DEPUTY SECRETARY JACK LEW

Deputy Secretary Jacob Lew is in Mali and travels later today to Nigeria, before proceeding to Paris later this week for a Ministerial-level conference of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.  In Mali (May 23-24), the Deputy Secretary, accompanied by Global AIDs coordinator Ambassador Eric Goosby, visits a National Institute of Health-supported laboratory and a USAID-supported health clinic, meets with Malians who have studied in the United States, participates in the closing ceremony of the Flintlock 10 military partners exercise and meets with President Amadou Toumani Toure.

USAID ADMINISTRATOR RAJIV SHAH

Administrator Shah is in Beijing, China with Secretary Clinton at the second joint meeting of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue.


UNDER SECRETARY FOR POLITICAL AFFAIRS WILLIAM BURNS


Under Secretary Bill Burns travels to Afghanistan and India through May 27.  In Afghanistan, Under Secretary Burns is meeting with senior Afghan officials and members of a Provincial Reconstruction Team.  In India, Under Secretary Burns is meeting with a range of senior Indian officials to discuss preparations for the upcoming U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue.  For more information, click here.
