Deputy Secretary Lew meets with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan to discuss the U.S.-Nigeria Binational Commission agenda and HIV/AIDS Partnership Framework, in Abuja, Nigeria.

Deputy Secretary Lew visits the Defense Headquarters Medical Center, where the Department of Defense has partnered with the Nigerian Ministry of Defense to implement HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment programs funded largely by PEPFAR, in Abuja, Nigeria.

Deputy Secretary Lew meets with Governor Ibrahim Shekarau of the Kano state to discuss progress on polio eradication and other health goals, in Abuja, Nigeria.

USAID ADMINISTRATOR RAJ SHAH
:
Administrator Shah is in Beijing, China for meetings in conjunction with the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue.

UNDER SECRETARY FOR POLITICAL AFFAIRS BILL BURNS:
Under Secretary Bill Burns travels to Afghanistan and India through May 27. In Afghanistan, Under Secretary Burns is meeting with senior Afghan officials and members of a Provincial Reconstruction Team.
