UNDER SECRETARY FOR POLITICAL AFFAIRS BILL BURNS:
Under Secretary Burns travels to Russia and Ukraine through September 10. In Russia, he will review key issues on our bilateral and international agenda, discuss future projects under the Obama-Medvedev Bilateral Presidential Commission and meet with key government ministers as well as civil society and human rights leaders.  In Ukraine, he will follow up on Secretary Clinton’s July visit with meetings involving governmental and non-governmental figures and discussions on how to enhance our bilateral strategic partnership. UNDER SECRETARY FOR ECONOMIC, ENERGY AND AGRICULTURAL AFFAIRS ROBERT HORMATS:
Under Secretary Hormats travels to China to attend the UNCTAD World Investment Forum in Xiamen, China through September 8.  He serves as a co-chair of the ministerial roundtable on “Revisiting Investment Policies.”  While in Xiamen, he will also attend the opening of the annual China International Fair for Trade and Investment and discuss the importance of IPR protection at the AmCham South China sponsored event.
