Briefing on Status of U.S. Assistance to Colombia

Senior officials from the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and the Department of Justice will brief the press on the status of U.S. assistance to Colombia on Monday, March 12, at 4:30 p.m. Press should use the C Street entrance. This event will be on camera and on the record, and take place in the Carl T. Rowan Briefing Room, Room 2209. The briefers will be:

William R. Brownfield, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs, U.S. Department of State

James Mack, Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, U.S. Department of State

George Wachtenheim, Director of the USAID mission in Colombia, U.S. Agency for International Development

Paul Vaky, Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development Assistance and Training, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice

Following their opening remarks, the briefers will respond to questions from the media.
