China - Visit of Vice Premier Qian Qichen

People’s Republic of China Vice Premier Qian Qichen will visit Washington and New York March 18 through 24.

Secretary of State Colin L. Powell looks forward to hosting the Vice Premier and will meet with him on March 21. Vice Premier Qian will also meet other senior officials in the course of the visit.

The United States welcomes the visit and looks forward to a comprehensive discussion of issues affecting the U.S.-China relationship.
