Meeting of the Trilateral Coordination and Oversight Group

As previously announced, the Trilateral Coordination and Oversight Group (TCOG) will meet in Honolulu, Hawaii, May 26. Delegations representing the United States, the Republic of Korea, and Japan will be led respectively by James A. Kelly, Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs; Yim Sung-joon, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade; and Kunihiko Makita, Director General, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. There will be a camera spray at the top of the meeting, which will begin at 2:00 p.m.

The trilateral meeting will be preceded by a bilateral U.S.-Republic of Korea, U.S.-Japan, and Republic of Korea-Japan meetings on May 25 and 26. There will also be a camera spray at the top of the U.S-ROK bilateral meeting on May 25, which will begin at 2:00 p.m..

He will be enroute to Honolulu and will not be able to be reached on Thursday.) A reminder: Honolulu time = Eastern Daylight Time – 6 hours.
