Kuwait: Negative Comments Regarding Suicide Bombing

Question: Do you want to comment on Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Shaykh Sabah's reiteration that the latest suicide bombing in Israel was legitimate?  Have you made your views known to the Kuwaitis?

Answer: As the Secretary said on Sunday, remarks such as these are outrageous.

We have made known our views to the Kuwaitis that it is a particularly sensitive time in the region, and we expect all those who support peace in the region to avoid actions and statements which inflame the already volatile situation.
